  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, finance, business or similar combination of education and training
  • Enrollment in the Chartered Professional Accountants’ program with a minimum of intermediate level accounting topics (within PEP) or Advanced Certificate in Accounting and Finance (ACAF) is an asset
  • 3-4 years of accounting and finance experience
  • Demonstrated technical competence with Dynamics GP and Microsoft Office
  • Proven efficiency in time management and organizational skills to meet required deadlines
  • Experience with Management Reporter (MR) or other financial reporting software an asset
  • Payroll experience is an asset
  • Experience in a not-for-profit organization is an asset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent collaboration skills and team player
Synopsis: This position is part of MCC Canada’s Financial Services Group. The primary responsibility is to perform various accounting and financial reporting functions for MCC Canada’s operations. This person will be under the supervision of the Director of Finance and will work in collaboration with the others in the Finance Team. This position is at a full-time basis (100% FTE) and is available on a salaried basis.

• Frequent and extensive contacts throughout the MCC Finance teams; in the Canada office, the provincial offices and the U.S. office.
• Communication with department managers for MCC Canada.

• Attention to detail is critical to this position to ensure accurate results.
• Good time management skills are essential to meet multiple deadlines.
• Ability to work within a team as well as independently is important.
• Good analytic skills to review financial reports and identify potential problems.
• Ability to reconcile various accounts and reports.
